2025 ASCPD Safety Course in Lasers, Energy Based and Surface Active Procedures

The Australasian Society of Cosmetic and Procedural Dermatologists (ASCPD) is proud to present our annual Safety Course in Lasers, Energy Based and Surface Active Procedures.
This course has been designed to be a diverse and comprehensive educational workshop, drawing on a wealth of global resources to provide the latest information and innovations in a field of practice that is evolving ever rapidly.
The 2025 enhanced program is an annual refresher course to ensure you are using best practice safety procedures on the devices you are operating daily.

Program
This workshop will focus on laser and light based device topics such as:
- The physics, safety, and best equipment use practices.
- The world of non-energy based surface active devices.
- Technical and safety aspects of fractionated equipment such as needling, cautery, and radio frequency.
- Chemical peeling.
- Patient factors and pre and post care.
- Treating Acne and sebaceous lesions with a 1726nm laser – concentrating on safety aspects.
- Utility and Safety Aspects of Electromagetic devices
- Safety Aspects of Fractional devices.
In 2025, we will also focus on “The rise and rise of photodynamic therapy”. Topics include:
- The light sources and the photosensitisers.
- Daylight PDT.
- Augmenters of PDT – LADD, and pre treatments
- Acne and PDT.
- Novel 1726nm wavelength laser in combination therapy for acne and acne scarring.
Course Content and Exam Hosting

Certificate of Completion
Delegates who attend this workshop and complete the post-workshop exam will receive a course certificate.
The exam will be open for completion for 1 week following the workshop content being reviewed online.

The members of the ASCPD Council and The Production House Events do not accept any liability for any losses incurred pre, post or during the Event due to unforeseen cancellation or postponement.
In the event of cancellation, no refunds will be issued. All available funds will be credited towards a future events held by the ASCPD.
Please note that refunds will not be issued if an attendee does not pass the Laser Safety Workshop exam.
Cancellation requests must be made in writing to ascpd@tphe.com.au.
Cancellations received up to 11 April 2025 will receive a refund, less to a $50 administration fee.
Cancellations received after 11 April 2025 will not receive a refund, however registrations can be transferred to a different attendee at no cost.
Please note, credit card surcharges will not be refunded at any stage. Please note there is no entry to the Laser Safety Workshop without registration to the Event.
