We have an exciting development to share that marks a new chapter for the ASCPD – we’ve proudly secured affiliate membership with two of the most prestigious international bodies in our field – the International League of Dermatological Societies (ILDS) and the International Master Course on Aging Science (IMCAS).
This milestone will connect our members more directly with the world’s most respected networks, conferences, and clinical education platforms.
Our Chair, Professor Greg Goodman said these affiliations represent a powerful step forward in reinforcing ASCPD’s reputation as a globally connected authority in cosmetic dermatology.
“IMCAS is arguably the largest educational cosmetic organisation in the world, holding conferences in Europe, the Americas, and Asia. The annual Paris conference has nearly 20,000 attendees. It also offers learning experiences beyond the conference setting — with webinars and on-demand training. As an affiliate member, we look forward to participating in their events and welcoming their involvement in ours.”
Founded in 1994, IMCAS has long been recognised as the gold standard in aesthetic education, bringing together leaders in dermatology, plastic surgery, and aesthetic medicine across three continents. This affiliation gives our members increased access to global research, emerging techniques, and a collaborative peer community at the forefront of the industry.
Equally significant is our acceptance as an affiliate of ILDS — the peak global body representing more than 90 national and international dermatology societies. ILDS works in official relations with the World Health Organisation, coordinating global initiatives to improve skin health and access to dermatological care, particularly in underserved regions.
“This is the global umbrella organisation that brings together peak national dermatological societies, runs the World Congress of Dermatology, and coordinates many global projects to improve skin health,” said Professor Goodman.
These partnerships affirm ASCPD’s position in cosmetic dermatology and reflect our growing role in shaping ethical practice, safety standards, and professional education both in Australia and globally.
We will continue to update our members on how these affiliations will translate into new learning opportunities, global connections, and expanded visibility.
Please keep an eye on our website and social media for updates and as always, we appreciate the wider input, support and acknowledgement of our members and community.
